Description

This document serves as notification of an upcoming solicitation. The New Mexico VA Healthcare System (NMVAHCS) located at 1501 San Pedro Drive SE, Albuquerque, NM 87108 has a requirement to Project 501-17-105: Upgrade Energy Plant Equipment Infrastructure.



The purpose of this project is to provide a renovation, new construction, equipment replacements, and utility modifications to address deficiencies at the New Mexico VA Campus Building 43 (Central Utility Plant) related to mechanical, plumbing, accessibility, electrical, life safety, structure, and cooling.



Contractor shall furnish all supervision, tools, labor, training, materials, equipment, and transportation necessary to accomplish the work. The work includes, but is not limited to general construction, alterations, mechanical and electrical work, utility systems, necessary demolition and removal of existing structures and certain other items necessary for completion.



All work shall be performed in strict accordance with the terms, conditions, specifications and drawings (when available) of the solicitation and all applicable local and VA building codes.



This project will be procured as 100% set-aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) and must be listed as verified in the Veteran Small Business Certification (VetCert) database at https://www.veterans.certify.sba.gov/. The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) used for this requirement is 236220, Commercial and Institutional Building Construction with a Size Standard of $39.5M. The magnitude of this construction project is between $10,000,000 and $20,000,000. The VA will issue an Invitation for Bid (IFB) on or about July 15, 2023 or sooner via Contract Opportunities at https://sam.gov/. A site visit will be scheduled, and the date/time/location will be provided in the solicitation.
