The 58 MXS at Kirtland Air Force Base seeks to acquire a preventative maintenance service contract to propel the longevity of the OMAX water jet machine’s lifecycle. This requirement will provide quarterly visits, parts repairs and replacements, consumable parts replacements, inspections, and calibrations of the asset. Due to the metal particulates, debris, and high mineral content in New Mexico water sources nozzles, lines, and water filters risk clogging. Additionally, there are numerous lines and seals that run throughout the machine with gaskets and seals that require inspection for leaks, and overall health, as well as servicing requirements like air filters and oil that will require periodic changes. Lastly, calibration checks between the software and machine that will require periodic inspections and adjustments. This criterion has been determined through the OMAX user manual and assigned metals technology technical orders.
