CANCELLED: INFORMATIONAL DAY PRE-SOLICITATION SITE VISIT: A Pre-Solicitation informational site visit will be hosted prior to the solicitation advertisement to allow time for contractors to familiarize themselves with the site and associated constraints as the project location is extremely remote. The informational day is scheduled for CANCELLED. Interested parties must contact Brandon Conner, Brandon.L.Conner@usace.army.mil, and Michael Pace, Michael.Pace@usace.army.mil, by close of business 04 March 2024 to register.

Contractors MUST be registered no later than 04 March 2024 in order to ensure sufficient time to secure an entry badge for each registrant. Anyone not pre-registered for a badge at the time of the site visit WILL NOT be allowed on to the site. Those registered should arrive at Stallion Gate at 8:30am local time. From there the Government representatives will provide escort to the site. Contractors Must have or procure a reliable 4x4. 4x4 vehicles are required to access the site. Most standard F150 etc. can make the trip. Vehicles deemed inadequate will not be allowed to ascend the peak. You Must complete the attached access form and provide it to Melanie.M.Ramirez@usace.army.mil. You may encrypt the email or send it to her via https://safe.apps.mil/. When using SAFE, you are required to request a drop off code via email from Melanie.M.Ramirez@usace.army.mil. The cut off date to provide the security office this information is 10 March. Once approved and prior to meeting at the Stallion Gate, everyone will need to go to the visitor center at the Las Cruces Gate to obtain a badge. Hours for the Visitors Center are M-F 0600-1400.

THE PROJECT consists of construction the Guided Missile Building Salinas Peak Project at White Sands Missile Range, New Mexico. The project is located approximately 9,000 feet above sea level and includes a 1,200 sf Shelter-In-Place facility, renovation of an 800 sf Observation Bunkhouse, construction of a 2,827 sf reinforced concrete test pad, electric service infrastructure supporting facilities including two 500 kVA generators, generator fuel tank, switchgear and weatherproof enclosure, concrete generator pads, and utility connection to new and existing facilities. Lightning protection will be included with all vertical and horizontal facilities to be constructed. Supporting facilities include site development, utilities, fire protection and detection measures, lighting, fencing and gates, cybersecurity measures, sustainability/energy measures, building information and communications systems.
